BUSHCRAFT GATHERINGS

We wil post our bush meets on here and any walking trips through out the year, so keep your diary free, and if you want to join us, please contact us for details, directions, and what to bring.
Make sure to let us know who you are and what bushcraft group you belong to and how many will be attending.
We will do our best to accommodate all, but if we are not expecting you, we wont allow you camp with us.
If you sign up to Northern Exposure Bushcraft, we will post out any gatherings we have by email.
We do not disclose locations openly so please contact the organiser if there is a meet in your area or nearby you wish to attend, and we will send you the details.

DONARD IN THE DARK
MIDNIGHT CHARITY WALK RAISING MONEY FOR
THE MOURNE MOUNTAIN
RESCUE TEAM
Northern exposure bushcraft is joining N.I. Photowalkers for a Night walk 'Donnard in the Dark'
July 12th. Friday (7:00pm-1:00am)
The charity we are raising money for is The Mourne Mountain Rescue Team. To help fund equipment and logistics.
Location:
Charity walk to start at the Bloody Bridge Newcastle climbing Donnard during the night starts at 7:00pm and will finish around 1:00am
Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for the walk, hot drink and a snack.
Bring atleast x2 reliable torches. (one as backup)
Walking poles are advisable.
If your would like to attend, even though you are not a member, feel free to get in touch so we can send you a list of basics needed, (please do not just turn up on the day without getting in touch first).
To climb, you must give a donation to MMR team, even a donation little ads to alot. We want to Thank MMR for all there hard work and time dedicated to keeping us all safe on the mountain.
This date coincides with the 3-day Bushcraft weekend at Castlewellan (see below)

BUSHCRAFT MEET BEDGELLERT NORTH WALES 2015

Location:
A short stay for 3 days in Bedgellert, where we look at the essentials needed for a daytrip in the mountains, including gear, and safety precautions needed for a safe trip up and down. Trip to include a walk to the summit of Snowdon, and we also take a look at Route planning, with optional 'cut short' routes should the weather turn bad, or if a party member is injured. Also we will look at a few edible wild foods including some basic tree and plant Identification around the local area.
​This trip is mainly a walking weekend and will be co hosted with the N.I. Photowalkers. Accommodation on this trip will be in Cottaged accommodation, however there are camping facilities at 'Ca Dhu' campsite nearby should you wish to take a tent, please check ahead of schedule as this area will be heavily booked out during summer months, hence cottage accommodation.
