The Gobbins Trail

The Gobbins trail in Northern Ireland is a fantastic trip along the north east coastline with breathtaking views, Build back in 1902by Irish civil engineer Berkeley Deane Wise, this scenic path included staircases along the cliffs, dramatic tubular and suspension bridges and caves and tunnels carved through the rock. It eventually stretched more than three miles.

Bridges were constructed in Belfast and floated out from Whitehead on barges before being lifted into position, high above the sea.

Although it is now unpassable in places it is one of N.Irelands best kept secrets You must be very careful on this trail, as its dangerous in places, and officially off limits to the public.
